Wings Over Kenya & Tanzania Luxury Safari

12 Days 11 Nights

Your East African safari begins at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a representative welcomes you and transfers you across Nairobi to Giraffe Manor. This iconic, ivy-covered 1930s manor offers a unique luxury experience on a half-board basis, where the resident herd of Rothschild’s giraffes frequently pokes their long necks through the windows in search of treats, providing a magical start to your trip before dinner and your overnight stay.

On the second morning, you transfer after breakfast to Wilson Airport for a domestic flight north to the arid, beautiful landscape of Samburu National Reserve. Arriving at the airstrip, you transfer to Larsen’s Luxury Camp—a tranquil oasis set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River—where you enjoy a fresh lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. You spend the next day fully exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives, tracking down the region’s unique “Special Five”—the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk—while enjoying excellent riverside dining and falling asleep to the nocturnal sounds of the bush from your luxury tent.

Your journey continues on day four as you take a morning flight across the Great Rift Valley into the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve. Landing at the airstrip, you enjoy a game drive en route to the Spirit of the Masai Mara Lodge, an exclusive, boutique property tucked away in the private Siana Conservancy. Over the next two full days, you are fully immersed in the Mara’s vast, rolling grasslands on morning and afternoon game drives, searching for large prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and massive herds of plains game, while making the most of the lodge’s stunning infinity pool, private watering hole, and fine dining.

On the seventh morning, you embark on an multi-flight air transfer, flying back via Nairobi to connect to Kilimanjaro, and then boarding an onward flight directly into the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. Upon landing, an en-route game drive brings you to Kusini Luxury Permanent Camp, beautifully blended into the giant kopjes of the southern Serengeti. You spend days eight and nine discovering the vast wilderness on extensive morning and afternoon game drives, watching predators on the prowl and navigating the classic acacia-spotted horizons, returning to camp each evening for sundowners around the campfire and elegant bush dinners.

You bid farewell to the Serengeti on day ten with a final morning game drive and lunch at the camp, before driving toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your scenic route stops at the historic Olduvai Gorge, the world-renowned archaeological site often called the “Cradle of Mankind,” before you continue to The Manor at Ngorongoro, an exquisite Cape Dutch-style estate nestled adjacent to a lush coffee plantation. The following day is dedicated to a thrilling exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater floor; you descend into the massive, collapsed caldera for a full-day game drive with a scenic picnic lunch, observing a thriving ecosystem packed with black rhinos, elephants, flamingos, and dense predator populations, before returning to the manor for a final grand dinner.

Your spectacular cross-border safari concludes on day twelve. Following breakfast, you enjoy a scenic drive down the highlands to Arusha for a relaxing lunch, followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are transferred to a comfortable day room at the Ole Sereni Hotel overlooking Nairobi National Park, giving you the perfect space to freshen up and relax before your evening transfer back to the main terminal for your international flight home.
