Campofrio Safaris

Deposit and Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required upon booking. The balance must be paid in full no later than 35 days before the commencement of services.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelled reservations, reductions in the length of stay, or reductions in the number of clients are subject to the following cancellation charges:

  • 60 to 35 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of the total cost of services.
  • 34 to 14 days prior to commencement of services: 40% of the total cost of services.
  • 13 to 6 days prior to commencement of services: 100% of the total cost of services.

The liability to reimburse the Company for cancellation fees, non-refundable booking fees, no-show fees, administration fees, and similar charges shall in no way limit or restrict the Company’s general rights to recover damages arising from a breach of contract.

Price Variation

The Company reserves the right to increase any or all prices without prior notice to the Organizer or Client in any of the following circumstances:

  • Official devaluation or revaluation of the local destination currency against the United States Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Sterling Pound (GBP), or the currency of the country in which the booking is made (if different).
  • Statutory increases in taxes or other government-imposed levies.
  • Increases in aviation fuel or motor vehicle fuel costs, or any other increase in transportation costs forming part of the Services.
  • Increases in accommodation or meal costs included in the Services.
  • Increases in entrance fees to national parks, national reserves, sanctuaries, or any other attractions included in the Services.
  • Any other increase in operating costs or the cost of providing the Services that is beyond the Company’s control and which the Company has made every reasonable effort to prevent.

Non-Payment Before Commencement of Services

If the Company has not received payment in full by the commencement date of the Services, it reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold all or part of the Services.

The Company shall be entitled to:

  • Collect the outstanding payment directly from the Client; and
  • Recover from the Organizer any cancellation fees to which it is entitled.

The Company shall not be required to notify the Organizer, Retailer, or Client before withholding any part of the Services due to non-payment.

Insurance

The Company maintains insurance against legal liability arising from injury or death of a Client, in accordance with and to the extent required by the laws of the respective destination country.

However, the Company’s insurance does not cover:

  • Illness or medical expenses;
  • Damage to or loss of baggage; or
  • Any consequential losses arising from the above.

The Organizer is responsible for advising Clients to obtain their own travel insurance before arrival at the destination. Such insurance should, at a minimum, cover:

  • Death;
  • Personal injury;
  • Medical expenses;
  • Damage to or loss of baggage; and
  • Consequential losses arising from any of the above.

Injury, Illness, and Other Risks

The Company accepts no liability for any injury, illness, infection, or death suffered by a Client that is not covered by the Company’s insurance as described above.

Loss of or Damage to Property

The Company accepts no liability whatsoever for the theft, loss, or damage to a Client’s property, regardless of how such loss or damage occurs.

Other General Sales Agents

Any duly appointed General Sales Agent acts solely as an agent of the Company. All contracts entered into by the Organizer shall be deemed to have been made directly with the Company.

Any contracts entered into other than directly with the Company shall remain subject to the Company’s ratification and approval.
