East Africa Private Luxury Adventure

16 Days 15 Nights

Your East African journey begins with a warm meet and greet upon your arrival in Nairobi, followed by a seamless transfer to the Ole Sereni Hotel. Uniquely positioned along the edge of Nairobi National Park, the hotel allows you to shake off your travel fatigue while watching wildlife roam across the plains directly from the terrace. The rest of your day is spent at leisure, easing into the rhythm of Africa on a bed and breakfast basis.

The next morning, an early flight takes you south to Amboseli National Park, where the magnificent, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a dramatic backdrop. Your adventure starts immediately with an en-route game drive to Tortilis Luxury Camp, arriving in time for a fresh lunch. In the afternoon, you set out into the park’s elephant-rich plains and vibrant marshes, tracking wildlife until the golden savannah sunset marks the end of your first official day in the wild.

Your third day is a full-day immersion into the heart of Amboseli. Morning and afternoon shared game drives offer front-row seats to the park’s famous big tuskers, large buffalo herds, and predatory cats scanning the open grasslands. Every meal is enjoyed back at the camp, allowing you to relax and watch the shifting colors of the mountain as the evening settles over the bush.

After breakfast on day four, you transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back through Nairobi and onward to the rugged, semi-arid landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. You arrive at Joy’s Camp, an elegant oasis built on the site of Joy Adamson’s original campsite, where a welcoming lunch awaits. An afternoon game drive introduces you to the reserve’s unique arid-adapted wildlife, including the reticulated giraffe and Somali ostrich, before a beautiful dinner under the northern stars.

The fifth day offers a complete exploration of Samburu’s distinctive ecosystem. You spend the day on morning and afternoon shared game drives, tracking leopards through the riverine forests, watching elephants cross the Ewaso Nyiro River, and searching for the rare Grevy’s zebra. Returning to the chic comfort of Joy’s Camp for meals and overnight stays, you are completely surrounded by the raw, untamed beauty of the northern frontier.

On day six, you enjoy breakfast before boarding a flight to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon landing, you are transferred to Mara Explorer Camp, an intimate luxury retreat pitched on the banks of the Talek River. After a superb lunch, you head out for an afternoon game drive into prime predator territory, tracking the Mara’s famous lion prides before returning to camp for dinner by the river.

(Note on Days 7-11: Your itinerary seamlessly transitions your journey from the Maasai Mara across the border into the immense plains of the Serengeti, basing you out of the remote and beautiful Kusini Camp.)

Days seven and eight are dedicated to exploring the legendary landscapes of the Serengeti, where morning and afternoon game drives reveal the endless horizons that define this world-famous ecosystem. You return each evening to Kusini Camp, seamlessly nestled among giant granite kopjes, to enjoy exceptional meals and sleep to the nocturnal sounds of the Tanzanian wilderness.

On the ninth morning, a final game drive and breakfast bid farewell to the plains before you take a multi-leg flight via Wilson and Kilimanjaro airports, smoothly navigating the border transition into Tanzania to return to the heart of the Serengeti. Arriving in the late afternoon, you transfer back to Kusini Camp to unwind, enjoy a warm dinner, and prepare for another deep dive into this spectacular wildlife haven.

Days ten and eleven offer two more full days of untamed discovery across the Serengeti. Your morning and afternoon game drives follow the ancient movements of wildlife, tracking cheetahs on the hunt, elephants moving through the acacia woodlands, and vast herds grazing under dramatic skies. Each evening brings you back to the familiar luxury and warmth of Kusini Camp for fine dining and fireside stories.

Following breakfast on day twelve, you leave the endless plains behind and drive toward the lush, misty highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a scenic game drive along the way. Your journey brings you to the edge of the world’s largest intact caldera, checking into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Day thirteen is spent exploring this breathtaking natural amphitheater, pairing a dramatic descent into the crater floor for unparalleled wildlife viewing with the lodge’s signature, world-class hospitality.

On day fourteen, you drive south to Tarangire National Park, arriving for a fresh lunch at Swala Camp, an exclusive retreat tucked away in a secluded pocket of the park under a canopy of ancient acacia trees. In the afternoon, you set out on a game drive to explore a landscape famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, capturing the raw beauty of the park until dusk.

Day fifteen is a dedicated exploration of Tarangire’s hidden gems. Morning and afternoon game drives take you along the life-giving Tarangire River, where predators wait for thirsty game and diverse bird species fill the air. You spend the day immersed in the classic rhythms of northern Tanzania, returning to the canvas luxury of Swala Camp for your final night in the bush.

Your grand safari concludes on day sixteen. After breakfast, you drive out of the park toward Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you return to the Ole Sereni Hotel for a relaxing dayroom experience, giving you the perfect opportunity to freshen up, pack your bags, and enjoy a final look at the wilderness before your evening transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
