Ol Pejeta Conservancy is one of Kenya’s leading private wildlife conservancies, located in Laikipia County between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range. Birdlife
With over 300 recorded bird species, Ol Pejeta is an excellent birding destination. Its varied habitats—grasslands, riverine woodland, and acacia savannah—support species such as the African Fish Eagle, Augur Buzzard, Hartlaub’s Bustard, Jackson’s Widowbird, Silverbird, and numerous sunbirds and raptors. The Ewaso Nyiro River is particularly productive for water-associated bird species.
